Royal Jelly with Honey by Bio-Gestion combines a creamy flower honey with 8% fresh royal jelly, for a smooth texture and easy daily intake.

Honey and royal jelly come from the same hive, but they play completely different roles. Honey is the colony’s reserve: the energy stored to get through the winter. Royal jelly, on the other hand, is an exceptional food, secreted by young bees and reserved for the larvae and the queen.

The two also complement each other on the palate. On its own, royal jelly has a tangy, almost sharp taste that surprises many people. Blended with honey, it leaves only a slight hint of bitterness, which some of our customers particularly enjoy.

A creamy flower honey into which 8% fresh royal jelly has been blended. The honey softens the tangy taste of the jelly and makes it as easy to take as a spoonful of jam: on its own, on a slice of bread or in a yoghurt.

How many flowers it takes to make a jar of honey

A foraging bee visits hundreds of flowers on each outing and brings a drop of nectar back to the hive on every trip. Over its short summer life, it will produce only about half a teaspoon of honey. Each jar is therefore the work of thousands of bees.

Once in the hive, the nectar is passed from bee to bee, enriched with enzymes, then fanned with beating wings until it has lost most of its water. When the honey is concentrated enough, the bees seal the cells with a thin cap of wax.

A bee foraging on wild flowers recalls the floral origin of honey and the patient gathering work carried out by the hive.

From the hive to the jar

To harvest the honey, the beekeeper removes these wax caps, then extracts the honey from the frames. Our flower honey is then worked to obtain a creamy texture, into which the fresh royal jelly is blended. The result: a smooth, even mixture that does not run and is easy to measure out with a spoon.

Uncapping the honey frames is a key stage of the harvest, before obtaining a flower honey with a creamy texture, ready to be combined with fresh royal jelly.

Who is it for, and how to take it?

Royal Jelly with Honey is for adults who wish to include royal jelly in their daily routine without having to put up with its tangy taste, and for those who enjoy a treat as part of their morning ritual.

1 teaspoon a day, preferably in the morning: on its own, on a slice of bread or in a yoghurt. Avoid mixing it into a very hot drink, to preserve the royal jelly. For pure, more concentrated royal jelly, discover our Pure Organic Royal Jelly.
