ActivTrans brings together four ingredients our grandmothers always kept close at hand. We have combined them in a liquid concentrate that is simpler to take every day than a bowl of prunes: two small doses a day, morning and evening, neat or in a glass of water. Here is where each of them comes from.
The prune, born of a graft
The Agen prune comes from a very particular variety, the “prune d’ente”. Its name comes from the old French word “enter”, to graft: in the Middle Ages, the monks of the Lot valley grafted varieties brought back from the East onto the local plum trees. The dried fruit they obtained kept for months, and travelled as far as the holds of ships.
ActivTrans contains 5.96 g of concentrated prune juice and 3.58 g of concentrated pear juice per daily dose.
Chicory, from wartime coffee to fibre
At the beginning of the 19th century, the Continental Blockade imposed by Napoleon cut France off from coffee. People fell back on chicory root, roasted and ground: the chicory drink was born, and it has kept its loyal following.
This root is also one of the main sources of fibres such as inulin and fructo-oligosaccharides. ActivTrans contains 2.38 g of them per daily dose.
Rosemary, the dew of the sea
Its Latin name, ros marinus, means “dew of the sea”: it grows readily on Mediterranean coasts, where the sea spray settles on its leaves. ActivTrans contains 0.12 g of dry rosemary leaf extract per daily dose.
Everything is combined in plant-based glycerine, which gives the concentrate its texture.
