What sets them apart is their food. For their first three days, all the larvae receive royal jelly, secreted by the glands of young nurse bees. Only the larva destined to become queen continues to receive it, and she will be fed on it all her life.

The result is spectacular: the queen is larger than the workers, she lays up to nearly 2,000 eggs a day at the height of the season, and she can live for several years, whereas a summer worker lives about six weeks.

<img src="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1015/8620/7046/files/gelee-royale-bio-pure-01-1024x1024.webp?v=1793004866" alt="Fresh royal jelly, from organic farming, with nothing added at all.
